Working principle of PSA pressure swing adsorption oxygen concentrator:

Compressed air is processed by a pre-treatment system to remove solid impurities such as oil and dust, as well as the vast majority of gaseous water, and enters an adsorption tower containing zeolite molecular sieves (ZMS). Nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and water vapor in the air are adsorbed by the adsorbent, while oxygen is separated through the adsorption bed layer. When the impurities adsorbed in the adsorption tower reach a certain level, they enter the atmosphere for desorption and regeneration of the adsorbent. The adsorption separation system consisting of two or three towers is cyclically switched under the automatic control of PLC or DCS system to achieve continuous oxygen production. This process is known as PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) principle for oxygen production.
